Heike Mlakar

Heike Mlakar eared a Ph.D. in American Studies at the Karl-Franzens University Graz, Austria. Her major field of study is U.S. postwar literature with a special focus on the Beat Generation.  Her doctoral thesis deals with feminist autobiographical criticism and is titled "Merely being there is not enough: Women's Roles in Autobiographical Texts by Female Beat Writers".
